This place was good when it first opened, but our last three visits have been steadily disappointing in terms of both service, and food. I think tonight's visit will be our last. The fish tacos tasted like they were made with fish jerky and both my son's and my wife's pizza were dry. Just really not worth what you pay for it.

What kind of a place runs out of vodka???? We went there on a thursday a few weeks ago for dinner. My husband and grandma ordered vodka tonics but were informed they were out of vodka. I get that this is primarily a pizza and beer place but still.....

This is a fantastic edition to South Lyon and a place I will continue to frequent. Here's why: - as soon as you walk in, you'll notice (besides the nice atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious smells of food) that it is sooooooo clean! I mean, spotless. This is super important to me in any food setting because the last thing I want to do is be grossed out by a place before I get my food (who wants a nice glob of foodborne illness served up with a scoop of mashed potatoes? Not me!) - the staff are helpful and made some suggestions for drinks and a main entrée. - the food AND drinks were great! Both came to our table right after having been made and hit the spot. We got the kale and artichoke pizza which came with a white sauce (as opposed to a red marinara) and was tasty! - prices are not too bad for the quality of everything - this could be a nice family place, a date night and/or a place to kickback and have a drink while watching a sporting event. I'll be back for sure!

The listing should have 3 $ signs. While the food is good, it's an expensive night out. 2 adults, 1 child, 75$ plus tip. We had 3 personal pizzas, 1 cheese bread, 4 drinks and a milk. Next time we'll just order delivery and save 50$. Oh, and the damn tv at the booth? Had to unplug it as the remote wouldn't turn it off. I won't be back and the only reason I gave them 3 stars was because the pizza was okay.

Excellent gluten free pizza and chocolate torte! Service was rushed. Waitress seemed annoyed. I'll do a carry out next time.

I ordered boneless chicken wings. It was frozen reheat. The quality of the wings was poor because there was too much breading on the wings. However, I was comp on the dish. My apology for my initial stars. I was told this came this way from the distribution center. I am hoping that this will change in the future.

I had ordered the steak dinner on two occasions and let me tell you this was the BEST steak I've ever had in a chain restaurant. Bar-none. I usually sit at the bar, and find the bartenders and managers to be helpful. What draws me back are the Brussels sprouts, as they are a featured appetizer or side, and seriously, that melt-in-mouth-steak. For $15 bucks? I'll be back!

I love Aubrees!! We always have a great experience every time we go! Pizza is delicious and salad is awesome. If you go here you have to try the pita bread appetizer it is to die for.

A welcomed addition to South Lyon and much better than other options, but still not that great. Pros: happy hour- on saturdays! Cons: nothing is THAT good I had an okay calzone and okay wings. The sauces were also just as average. It is a decent spot if your looking for some quick eats, but I wouldn't put too high of expectations on it. I would never recommend someone to go here at any other time than happy hour. That pretty much puts this place in the Bar Louie category. Better food than Louie, but it doesn't have the same atmosphere or "on the way home from work" happy hour location. In closing, average at best... No reason to go out of your way for Aubrees. I'd go to the hotel over it despite the often times questionable clientele. They have my trivia live now though, so hopefully that saves this place for us.

Good pizza, even better appetizers and happy hour specials in the bar area - even on the weekend! The brussel sprouts are great but I'm normally just a fan of plain ones, so maybe I'm easy to please. They have many sauces to choose from for wing sauces which they kindly let us choose many to try them. I've had the Hawaiian pizza with flavored crust. It was loaded with toppings and there was plenty to go around. The calzone was a great deal at the time we were there but as far as calzones go, they're better down the street at the Hotel. (Update, no change to rating) Stopped in for trivia and late dinner on a Wednesday evening. We were tucked in the bar area where trivia was taking place and well taken care of by two servers in the area. The food was OK but again nothing mindblowing. I tried the B.A.T. (bacon, avocado, tomato) grilled cheese which was different as it had boursin cheese as opposed to regular cheese. The avocado slices were a nice fresh twist but I would've preferred regular cheese since they obviously already have it as a pizza place and all. Otherwise the toast was well toasted and pretty good overall, I just didn't care for the texture of bousin in there.

I've never had anything bad there. The Cobb salad is fantastic and calzones are delicious. The servers have all been helpful and pleasant. I'm glad they've opened in South Lyon. It's a nice change.

Aubree's has been open for about 2-3 months in South Lyon, at this point. My husband and I have been meaning for ages to stop by. Finally, one weekday, we set aside the time to come in for dinner. The place was pretty much dead and we were seated right away. The place is HUGE! I don't remember if Big Boys was this big (it took over the spot where Big Boys was). But there's tons of space for seating inside, outside, and in a separate banquet room. Our waitress was pretty good. About normal. Not outstanding, but not bad either. We ordered the fried Brussels sprouts as an app and split a supreme pizza as our meal. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. They're Brussels sprouts that are fried with bacon, sprinkled with Parmesan, then served with a side of creamy dipping sauce. The Brussels sprouts were delicious and didn't really need the bacon, even. My only critique was that it was savory, with savory, with salty, with savory. The dipping sauce should have been a lively vinaigrette to liven things up and break the taste bud monotony. Our pizza was good. It seemed to have been maybe a hair rushed since the inner crust was pretty limpy and soft. The crust was only barely brown. I think another 3 minutes in the oven would have made all the difference. But the toppings were great. It was wonderful to see that the toppings were cut from fresh things, as in the slices of onion were slivers that you could tell were cut NOT by an industrial machine. The sausage bits were definitely cut from sausage in the casing and not mysterious grey balls like larger chains, etc. We will probably be back to try some of the other specialty pizzas and to get some personal pizzas to go. I hope they nail down the cook time on the pizzas a little better. Their burgers sounded delicious, too, but we didn't see anyone have one to judge. I'd like to see some more Italian dishes, too.

I was so excited to have a more upscale restaurant than the other selections in South Lyon but I think my expectations were too high. They must consider TV's decoration as they have TV's on every available surface. That's the only decoration I could see from my table. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, the only redeeming quality. The waitress was young and inexperienced. She didn't offer menu selections and when I asked her about a salad or an appetizer, she explained "Our chicken is really good." I'm not sure what good meant, but both my boyfriend and I ordered chicken dishes. Neither one was good. I ordered boneless buffalo wings. The outside was not crispy, and the sauce was unremarkable. The prices were steep for what we received. I paid 9.59 for unsatisfactory boneless wings. My partner had the Coconut Grove Chicken. The side of his chicken was burned/overcooked and the strawberry garnish was rotting. How did that make it out of the kitchen. He said his fries were good and the brussel sprouts were nicely carmelized. His dish was 12.99 and tasted nothing like coconut chicken and was saved only by the sauce in a ramekin. When our waitress Lauren asked if we wanted dessert, we politely delclined. She said, "Are you sure? We've got some good ones." Apparently she thinks everything is good, when in reality, nothing is really good. Don't waste your money here.

Horrible service, overpriced and a disappointment. The cheese bread was decent but we won't go back.

I had an opportunity to try out several items, from pizza to pasta to a burger, and I was really surprised by how good everything was. I'm usually a bit skeptical about broad menus like that, but Aubree's pulls it off well. I'm not really sure why Aubree's bills itself as a pizzeria first, though. I was particularly impressed with the build-your-own kids' menu. My kid really liked the array of options available. Booths had individual TV's with Nickelodeon, ESPN, and other channels. I'm sure the merits of having a TV provided at your table are debatable. I'm a fan, but I get why people wouldn't be (don't worry, you can turn them off).As a "family" restaurant, the consideration for younger clientele would probably put Aubree's closer to the top of my list. Service was better than average, especially considering how new this location is, and the prices were quite reasonable. At the time of this review, it's showing $31 - $60 per person, which is completely ridiculous if you're not running up an alcoholic's bar tab with your $8 burger. I'm pretty sure the most expensive item (besides a large pizza) was about $14. Considering South Lyon's unfortunate landscape of coney islands and bars-that-also-serve-food, Aubree's should be a welcome addition.

I am very glad I decided to stop in for lunch on monday. There were only a few other tables at the time which is common for this area. My waitress was very polite and helpful with the menu. I was in the mood for pizza but chose the calzone instead. I was not disappointed. Calzone came out hot, the toppings were good and their crust is delicious. My order of aubrees bread was served minutes before my calzone but it was nice to have some dipping sauces for the crust. Beer was a bit pricey compared to some other locations in the area. Restaurant is nice and new after replacing the Big Boy. Will definitely return.

I guess I had a better experience then some. I'm not your typical keep everything under a microscope diner. So I may be less harsh. Had the pizza buffet, yeah buddy !!! It was great. My pregnant wife said my unborn son was smashing on whatever she was eating. She got that buffet also. Look prices might be slightly above but I really liked that pizza buffet. They have a great pizza buffet. Get some.

Only 2 b/c we were forgotten about twice and offered no compensation. My mother and I sat for 10 minutes before a server greeted us and then our food order was either forgotten about or lost b/c after another 16min we had to ask about it. Food was good but staff was young and green. It wasn't even busy just seemed unorganized. Don't know if I'll go back, maybe.

Heard it was newly opened and came to give it a try. I was excited to see what this restaurant had to offer in comparison to all the other American dining restaurants in the area. I was extremely disappointed in their food and service. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and mac n cheese with a request for sautéed mushrooms in place of chicken. The dip was not house made. In fact, you could still taste the pickled sourness on the artichoke chunks that they didnt even bother to chop up into smaller pieces like a more traditional artichoke dip. I'm pretty convinced that it came straight out of a can/jar. The cheese/dip itself was goopy and had almost a cottage cheese consistency. The pickled taste was so overwhelming that you couldn't really taste anything else - not even the spinach that was barely there. The only good part of the appetizer was the pita chips. It really looked like they just threw spinach and artichokes together in a cream concoction and heated it up all together really quick before serving it to us. It was pretty hard to eat. The mac n cheese also came out goopy and watery. We had a puddle of liquid watered down cheese sitting at the bottom of the plate. The taste was nothing but bland. They even forgot our sautéed mushrooms so all we had was literally the pasta and cheese water. We had to flag down our waitress to let her know that it was missing and she then brought out a side of the mushrooms on a plate for us. When I order mac n cheese at a restaurant, I expect it to be pretty good since its easily made. If not, whats the point in having it on the menu when even I could make a tastier batch at home with more toppings? Overall, the service was just okay. They werent as attentive as usual restaurants like chains such as Applebee's or Red Robins. Water glasses were left empty for a long time and it was hard to find our waitress because she was never around. I guess having a small TV at each table is a good distraction for the customers because it kept them entertained while waiting. The exterior and interior of the restaurant looks really nice, however, everything else was a disappointment for a newly opened restaurant. I dont think I will be coming back.

We drive here from Whitmore lake even though the Dexter location is closer. They are much more friendly (read Dexter is rude and seem put out that we are there) South Lyon location greets you once you walk in the door and are genuinely happy to see customers even when busy. Heather was our waitress during our last visit and she is awesome. Patient with children (including my husband lol)! Tvs work (not at other location) in booths - novel idea right?? Additionally the food is better - not sure how that is but the pizza is better and the kids meals - cannot even tell you the difference from Dexter. Seriously Dexter served my kids the most horrendous Mac and cheese that was sooo runny and nasty. Then gave attitude about it. This has happened each visit to Dexter. Not here - it is perfect. My son loves it here and he would even enjoy the adult Mac and cheese if I let him!! We will drive to this location each time I have a craving for margherita pizza!! My husband and I love the spinach and feta rolls. Perfectly crispy and cheesy!!! Hands down best Aubree's location!!!

The building is quite attractive with the sign easily visible from the road. It is located in a strip mall just south of McDonalds. There is only one driveway in and out, however. The inside is very nice with earth tones and brick. There is a large bar area where you can order food. There is a lot of seating. The booths have their own TV with several cable channels including a lot of sports stations. There is also a large room in the back where they were having the little league kids the day I was there. They have a pizza bar from 11 AM to 2 PM every day and it includes soup and salad. I was in the mood for a burger, but will be back to try the pizza bar. I ordered the bourbon burger and had a side of brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were roasted and were quite good with the added some sea salt from the table shaker. It's fun to order them out since I don't like cooking them at home and smelling up the house. They didn't offer a salad as one of their sides, but there were plenty of other choices. The actual hamburger was ok to good, but with all of the fixings, it was quite good. I thought the portion size was adequate. The staff was friendly and attentive. The only real complaint I have is with the Diet Coke. It was too fizzy. Usually, bars or bar/restaurants mix the diet coke more on the syrupy side which is good by itself or with alcohol. Oddly, Subway gets it just right, but other fast food type establishments miss the boat. Again, most bars have good Diet Coke. I'll try again and see if this was an off day. Oh yeah, the diet coke was $2.69. The prices do keep rising, but it seems just a bit too high. I will be back and would recommend the place if you're in the area.

People and service are/is great. Pizza has been bland and disappointing the two times I've been there. It's a shame as I've had good luck at the Haggerty Rd. location. I will give them one more chance as I hope their problems are due to the fact they've just opened. This place seems to have hit their stride. I really like it now.

Quick review: killer pizza All around a good place. Grabbed some dinner with friends. Service was quick, noise level was low enough to be able to talk easily. The food was great. I got a side salad with a lemon vinaigrette dressing which was delicious. We ordered cheesy bread for the table which everyone devoured. The best part was the pizza. A classic Margherita with great crust and a dash of balsamic vinaigrette. Yumm! Pros: margherita pizza with balsamic and Angry Orchard on tap Cons: none!!

I've been to every Aubree's and loved it. This location left a lot to be desired. Small portions for the prices. Beer is over priced. Mediocre service. They only thing I still enjoyed here was the feta bread. Amazing at all locations. I hope the problems are only due to it's newness.

We went there last night... this was our second visit. I didn't rate the first visit as it was shortly after they opened and wrote that experience off to "getting the kinks out". This visit was worse than the first. Skip the coconut chicken apps... they were so thin and over cooked they were just shy of Jerky. Boneless wings were ok, no better/worse than other places. My wife ordered a Boursin/Avacoda/Bacon grilled cheese with a side of Fries.... the entire plate was cold, not luke warm, cold! She attempted to eat half the sandwich and gave up and ate the 2pieces (yes 2) of bacon off the other half. The waitress didn't come by to inquire about the food until it was too late. My boys had pizza that was very bland, not what I expected from a place that bills itself as a Pizzeria. I will compare this with Tony Saccos in Novi.... ABSOULUTELY no comparison.... this pizza was like a frozen store bought pizza compared with Tony Saccos (the benchmark). I had the fish taco... ok, but nothing I would return for. Unfortunately I am not able to recommend this place, we unanimously voted "not again". I so desperately want to find a local restaurant besides the Hotel as a go to restaurant vs driving to Brighton or Novi. PS I agree with a previous review... the table side TV's distract from the restaurant deficiencies.
